Family Care Navigation Packet

56 pages · Institute Public v2.3.0 · adopted August 25, 2026
For families and caregivers

Plain-language help for caring for an older adult or dependent loved one, including call scripts, records, and practical pages for stressful moments. Version and maintenance details are available in the technical record.

Children & Family

Still being tested; legal, Tribal, and agency decisions remain with the responsible authority.
Review version — for families and caregivers

Start from what is happening when a child is coming, already here, changing, or leaving. The guide helps you prepare and find the responsible next contact without deciding the legal category for you.

Education & Work

Still being tested; institutions and programs confirm admission, funding, credit, hiring, and eligibility.
Review version — for students, adults, and families

Build a practical education or work next step, including route fit, costs and support, preparation, and re-entry after interruption.

Not sure where to start?

For anyone who cannot name the right program or office yet

Start with what changed, who contacted you, what paperwork arrived, or whether there is a deadline. Then work toward the office that owns the next question.

Sources & current information

Check where information comes from or what is current.

Use these pages when you need sources, current public information, or a correction route.

Source & existing-service reconciliation

For people checking authority, overlap, and current source roles

See what services already exist, which sources can support which claims, and where the Institute must stop rather than duplicate another service.

Community Information

For current public information and briefings

Public information that is kept separate from the Institute's guides and from official Tribal speech.

Corrections

For changed numbers, outdated information, or other errors

Report a source, contact, instruction, or release problem so the specific item can be checked and corrected.

Inspect the Institute

Institutional records, if you need them.

Most visitors do not need these records to use a guide. They remain available for reviewers, partners, and anyone who wants to inspect how the work is built and maintained.

Current site-status note. The August 25 Community Brief, Partnership Brief, and Institutional Prospectus use an earlier pre-opening description for The Long Meanwhile. The current public status is: opening September 25, 2026. Their substantive program content is unchanged; see Relationship.

Versions & related work

Version numbers make corrections traceable.

If you report an error, the version identifies what you were reading. Material corrections are recorded rather than silently replacing the earlier record.

The weekly Check-In archive remains on The Long Return. Christopher Knorr’s authored essays and scholarship are being prepared for The Long Meanwhile, opening September 25, 2026, rather than being duplicated here.
