# The Long Return Institute v0.5.73 — Consistency, Usefulness, and Evidence Release

**Date:** 2026-09-10

## Owner direction
The owner directed the site to be updated, fix the fixable inconsistencies, and plan development for functions that are unfinished or not yet correctly built. This record authorizes publication of the **website shell and public informational/navigation surfaces** represented by v0.5.73.

It does **not** authorize operational reliance on Children & Family or Education & Work beyond the limits stated on those routes.

## Mission control
The website is judged against one practical mission: a person should be able to leave knowing **who to contact, what to ask, what to have ready, and what to do if the first route fails**.

## Repairs in this release
- Reconciled the website shell, `release.json`, `release-stewardship.json`, and `search-index.json` to v0.5.73.
- Recorded the owner decision, audience, permitted use, retained holds, and rollback route.
- Changed ordinary Children & Family public entry points to a status/options page while preserving the bounded institutional test.
- Clarified Education & Work as public for inspection/feedback while consequential reliance remains held.
- Completed the general no-contact route with concrete first-contact branches and direct onward links.
- Distinguished website update dates from actual source verification dates.
- Corrected the About funding answer: current cash/in-kind funding information is not yet published rather than implied.
- Narrowed contact-form language because end-to-end delivery/retrieval has not yet been demonstrated on the exact live host.
- Removed production shorthand from one Education visitor-facing description.

## Retained holds
Children & Family legal/human/institution testing, Education human/accessibility/real-device validation, risk-based source rechecks, contact-form delivery/retrieval, observed reader use, second-operator handoff, and backup maintenance capacity remain open.

## Rollback
If this successor introduces a material defect, redeploy the exact v0.5.72 predecessor package.
